Hi, I'm Arnab. I'm an engineering leader focused on making complex platforms reliable at enterprise scale. At Atlan, I lead platform engineering for a multi-tenant data platform serving 300+ enterprise customers across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

My team owns the core metadata infrastructure that powers these platforms. We run Apache Atlas on Kubernetes, backed by JanusGraph, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra, and operate it with 99.9% reliability under the security, compliance, and scale constraints of Fortune 500 environments.

Recent work includes building the Metadata Lakehouse, a purpose-built store for AI-native data platforms, and leading platform initiatives that delivered 5–10x performance improvements while reducing infrastructure costs from ~22% to 16% of revenue. I've taken systems from early-stage chaos to production-grade stability by focusing on the fundamentals that compound over time: multi-cloud orchestration, secure deployment pipelines, and sustainable on-call practices.

Earlier in my career, I worked with early-stage startups, helping take products from zero to production. Today, I partner closely with sales and security teams to translate enterprise requirements into durable technical strategy.

Outside of work, I'm usually out with my camera, chasing good light.
